Honey and its benefits:

Your Lord revealed to the bees: "Build dwellings in the mountains and the trees, and also in the structures which men erect. Then eat from every kind of fruit and travel the paths of your Lord, which have been made easy for you to follow." From inside them comes a drink of varying colours, containing healing for mankind. There is certainly a Sign in that for people who reflect. (Qur'an, 16:69)
There is a whole chapter dedicated to honey and honey bees in the holy Qur'an (I am sure in Vedas too), while the modern science realised and stamped it as the best healer of many diseases. As we depends too much on the modern science we tend to started believing now and making the best of its benefits. Nothing wrong as long as we use it in our daily life.
Honey has tremendous medicinal value, because it washes away the harmful substances that might be collected in the veins and the intestines.
Honey also dissolves excess moisture hence beneficial as a drink and as an ointment.
Honey provides an important part of energy needed by the body for blood formation. In addition, it helps in cleansing the blood.
Honey when consumed hot and mixed with rose oil cures animal bites and the effects of opium.
If fresh meat is kept in honey it will preserves its freshness upto three months.
Honey when used in bathing water will make your hair shine and grow longer and healthier. When it is applied to someone that is infected with lice, it will kill both the lice and the eggs.
Honey applied in the eyes as kajal will strengthen its eyesight.
Honey also whitens the teeth, preserve their health and the health of the gums.
Honey helps in cleaning the stomach, liver, kidneys, the prostate glands as it's the least harmful sweet substance for congesting the liver and kidneys.
Honey is also a food, a drink, a sweet, a remedy, a type of refreshment and an ointment along with many more medicinal values.
Honey is composed of sugars like glucose and fructose and minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron and phosphate. It contains vitamins B1, B2, C, B6, B5 and B3 all of which change according to the qualities of the nectar and pollen. Besides the above, copper, iodine, and zinc are also present, albeit in small quantities.
Start your day by drinking some honey mixed with water on an empty stomach.
