in nature's lap, 3 hours away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai,
in the wilderness a midst a flowing river with lush greenery and pure
oxygen in the air is situated The
Brook.

WHAT
WORKED FOR ME:
The
Brook is
a warm cozy home of 5500 sq feet area owned by the very enthusiastic,
talkative and world traveller Mr Raman Khanna and his wonderful wife,
an ex-film actress Swapna. The place has 4 bedrooms with attached
bathrooms and one living room plus one dining area with one indoor
and one outdoor kitchen so definitely it was comfortable for me and
my family (we were around 7 of us) and not to forget, Swapna also
made sure that we get enough mattresses, pillows, sheets and blankets
to feel comfortable.
This
place as promised had an in-house cook, a caretaker, maid and a
servant boy to run errands hence making it more like home and 24
hours supply of food, drinks and snacks.
The
wilderness of Karjat Village with picturesque mountains all around
and a free flowing clean, fresh river through the farm wherein you
can go and have a bath was something extraordinary experience. The
only hitch is the market which is 8km away, so getting something in
emergency was a little task.
There
aren't any pick up or drop facility by the farm, so get your own
transport.

Getting
there:

The Brook is located at about 85 km from Mumbai in a small village
called Vaijanath, Tata Power Plant Road, Karjat, District Raigad.

On the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, take the Karjat-Khopoli exit and
proceed on old Mumbai-Pune Highway till you reach Karjat Chowk.

From Karjat Chowk proceed towards Karjat and take the Karjat-Murbad
Road.

A few minutes’ drive will get you to the Tata Power Plant Road.
